Holton has performed for thousands of people from all over the world and has performed with very credible singers and songwriters, but after this past weekends performance, he can officially say he’s shared the stage with a Grammy Award Winning Country Legend. “You know these performances with the big guys are an absolute blessing”, Holton said. “When you’re backstage with the band chatting away and then you watch them perform in front of thousands knowing you just finished your set, that’s when it sort of sinks in of what you had just accomplished. So surreal”.
Just this past Sunday, Holton opened for Country Legend Travis Tritt, who is a two time grammy award winner with credentials leaving you still turning pages. Holton added some flavor to his acoustic set with the accompaniment of Mike Hiltz on the bass guitar. Nova Scotia was Tritt’s last stop before crossing back to the United States to complete a handful of shows in the south before returning home. Minutes after Tritt’s exit, he left an impression with Holton as he reached out to him personally on twitter saying, “Thanks for doing a great job tonight. It was a pleasure to share the stage with you.”
Holton said he’s thrilled to share the stage with Travis and if he ever wants to do it all over again, hopefully they could continue the conversation where they left off.
